GoFaster. It is a fairly major job to change out the DPF, and you would have to change the ECU software. Doesn't make sense given how much is involved. I don't know how involved the software is, I would think you could run the dpf delete with the dpf installed for a couple hours and no harm would be done. Yes, yes you can! If your diesel particulate filter accumulates enough soot to trigger a blockage fault, the job is very quick and easy to take care of. Be sure to diagnose and correct the initial fault first - if you're in doubt, consult a professional mechanic. A DPF delete will remove the possibility of a DPF failure which could cause expensive diesel repairs. 3. Due to less exhaust backpressure, the DPF delete increases exhaust flow and therefore increases the performance of your motor! 4. Paired with an ECU remap, the DPF delete is proven to increase power and torque for all vehicles. 2. Fill the ready to use flushing liquid in the diesel particle filter. 3. Let work for about 10 hours and shake from time to time. 4. After the cleaning process, rinse the filter thoroughly with clear warm water. 5. Re-mount the particle filter, add DPF Super Clean and do a test drive of at least 20 minutes. Removing a DPF filter without replacing it is illegal. The informative website Do Not DPF Delete explains the law in plain terms: “According to Section 203 of The Clean Air Act, it is illegal to tamper with, remove or be involved in the deletion knowingly or unknowingly of the DPF system of a truck. What this means is that you may face 2017+ Super Duty - 2017 DPF/DEF/EGR Delete - HI Guys! I ordered a new 17 Super duty this week and am going to be deleting all of the usual components that we know about. I currently have 3 6.4s that are DPF/EGR delete. I haven't owned a 6.7 so I'm looking for feed back. We do NOT have emission tests here in MI. It's a at your own risk thing. DPF can be removed from the fire wall side. Tech can r&I engine in 16 hours that's flat rate labor. I challenge any mechanic to tell me the damn plastic drive coupler is not worn out loose and sloppy when we pull the engines out for DPF service!! So I look at pull engine, DPF service, replace drive coupler. High-pressure water wash the filter thoroughly. Visually inspect the filter for residual conglomerate particulate matter. Bake in a kiln for 6 to 8 hours at specified temperatures. Vacuum or blow out the filter to remove the residual ash. Visually inspect the filter to ensure all particulate matter has been removed. zQmv.
